After you get it buttoned up, clean it very well so you can see where all your fluid went to. Gotta be a leak somewhere....

Ok. Got it cleaned way up using a chisel and some simple green. I now see my problem. Out of the three bolts on the passenger side of the tranny, I see that the top one is missing. Judging from the rebuild guide, that is my filler plug, and most likely where my fluid went.

Does anyone know what size bolt goes in that hole and is it standard or SAE thread?

Thats not a good sign. It's a pipe plug. Hardware store.

WOO HOO!!! Fixed it!!! Thanks for all the help guys. Plugged it and filled the tranny and it works like a champ.

Yes it is. And its only against the law if you get caught. lol. j/k i don't drink hardly ever, and that opener was on there when i bought the truck. I'm going to leave it on there for nostalgia....

That opener is on the outside of the truck. He can't use it when he's driving!
