Alright, got my driveshaft all phased in (maybe not) just like the diagram shows. Only prob is that my little chilton's diagram shows that there are arrows on the slip yoke part and somewhere on the splined shaft of the two piece driveshaft. I found the arrow on the slip yoke piece but I cannot find the arrow on the other piece of the shaft. The diagram points to an area actually on the splines. Can anyone tell me where the other arrow is, is it on the splines somewhere? or upwards on the actual shaft tube? or does it really matter about the arrows just as long as the drive shaft is phased correctly?
Thanks gurus.

re: driveshaft phase question about arrows
My memory is foggy, but I seem to recall that the other arrow was actually looked like two punch marks.
If you can't find the mark phase it properly and put it together, if you have a cyclic vibration, turn it 180.

re: driveshaft phase question about arrows
I just lined up my yokes and got lucky. I did find that my problem was that I had not fully seated the new carrier bearing (2 piece drive shaft). After I spent an hour "tapping" (bashing more like) I got it seated and the play that was in the splined end of the rear shaft vanished.

seems to me that theres only two ways the driveshaft will hook up to the trans so pick one if the arrow isn't locatable and if you have problems as mentioned before swap it around.
