I would think the real problem is a persons driving habits.
and a C6 and 350 are not that bad. I got 410s on my truck a f350 with a 390 C6 and I drive at 110kmh fully loaded with a 16 foot deck, and gas costs $1.10 L for fuel. and my truck get the same fuel milage as my 88 5.0l gt. with a tuned 5.0, 3.50s and a T5. so what milage is one the engine in your truck? and how hard do you leave the lights?
Really considering this...

I guess I should be lucky, my 69 390/c6 4bbl gets 14- 15 mpg driving it and that is mostly city driving.
