re: need help for porp valve and brake lines mount

Post by FORDification »

As an example: Your right-front flexible hose gets a cut in it, which starts leaking. When the pressure of the front brake circuit is compromised like that, the decreased pressure will cause the balanced valve in the distribution block to go to one side. To recenter it after the hose has been replaced, you need to bleed the rear brake circuit, to bring the valve back to center. Therefore, you'll need to loosen the rear brake line at the distribution block, since the rear brake circuit would be classified as the "unfailed system".

I never did it at the distribution block. I thought doing it at the wheels should work. I'll try again now.
