Front / Rear Ends

Post by crash_552 »

I have Dana 60 in the back and a Dana 44 in the front in my F250. Why did they put such a light front with a heavy rear on a F250??

My 95 Ram had the same setup and I beat the living crap out of it, pretty much drove it like a trophy truck for 3 years in the desert, never broke anything

Because an average use truck doesn't carry the weight in the front. The D60 is built for carrying heavy loads. That D44 will do you just fine unless you plan on beating it.

60 rear and 44 front was the gold standard for a 3/4 ton 4x4 for several decades.
