14 U- JOINTS
I have got 14 u-joints on my 72 4x4 bump. Anyone care to guess where they all go?

re: 14 U- JOINTS
I'll take one of the PTO u-joints. Since you have so many.
The one I have that is directly mounted to the PTO itself, is cracked. The PO had a catastrophic PTO shaft failure that riped out the exhaust and spun the shaft in the u-joint and cracked it. The shaft was stuck in the u-joint, so they just torched it off. My dump doesn't dump anymore.

re: 14 U- JOINTS
Do not flame me too bad,I have a 3 piece chevy driveshaft with 2 carrier bearings. It goes from the 435 to the winch in very back of truck. I took one look at those little pto u-joints and said NO WAY. Mine uses 1310 joints never had a problem.
