If its a 1/2 ton, I'd go with a Dana 60 semi-floater. In my opinion they're stronger than the 9 inch.

A 9 inch is a fine rear end. Parts are plentiful, hard to go wrong there.

Awww...you beat me to it jbanks! Maybe finish with some 40 yard sprints.

Ch**y guy at work uses 9 inchers on his race/performance stuff because of parts/labor simplicity.

Just make sure to keep it lubed or you could wreck your nice performance rear.

'72 Camper special? Probably a 3/4 ton and has a Dana already. Nothing there to upgrade, unless you want to add a Traction lok?

Don't mean to bust yer chops but every Busch and Cup NASCAR has a 9" it running lotsa HP, lotsa MPH for many miles. The Ford 9" also has much more to offer in gear ratio options. You can change gear ratios in 40 minutes. Much easier to change gear ratios and it bolts right in.
