voltage 6v?

Post by zakt »

I have a 67' truck and will be putting a 460 with the altenator in. I believe the 67' has a generator with 6v, is this correct? My question then lies with the bulbs for the lights ie turn, backup, brakes, marker lights then for stuff like the wiper motor voltage etc.. the altenator will be putting out 12v from my understanding. Has anyone messed with this, any thoughts?

your system is 12 Volts with an alternator. You shouldn't have any electrical problems with the engine swap
