Kick down rod for automatic tranny
What the heck is it and what does it do?

it is a linkage rod that goes from the carburetor to the trans that downshifts when you stomp on the gas so you dont have to shift at the column.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

It's not mandatory, but if you want that auto down shift under acceleration then you'll want it.
