Post by AustinTom »

Will the 2 piece driveshaft from a C-6 lwb truck fit one with a np435 or will it need to be altered?

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

You'll need a driveshaft that has the slip joint build into it.

You'll need to at least change the yoke, as the C6 had either a slip yoke, or a flat, bolt on yoke, depending on the type of C6 (some had a short shaft tailhousing that has a flat, four bolt flange, more common to the trucks than cars, and some had a slip yoke).

The length will be a factor as well, and will likely need to be cut and have the joint flange rewelded (requiring a rebalance of the driveshaft assembly) or just find the proper driveshaft assembly elsewhere.
