I have a 70 F100. I also have a 79 merc cougar. Will the cougar front end work to sub in the front of my p/u? If so, what difficulty would there be with this conversion?

Best thing I could suggest would be to get out a tape measure and check.

I'm looking at possibly using a '69 Galaxie front clip on mine, the front frame-rail spacing is identical to the truck's. As for the difficulty...yes, it's a LOT of work, and not something for a novice to attempt. (Although I have to admit I've never done anything like this before either, so I'll be taking my time and learning as I go.)

However, without knowing the measurement I'd have to guess that the framerail area isn't going to be wide enough...but I could be wrong. So what IS the width on that Cougar, anyway?
