Yeah, I noticed Classic Trucks hasn't updated their site since the newest issue just came out.

Anyway, you can spend some time at the Fatman's website where they have most of the info you'd need. You can also check out the following link, where they installed the kit on their shop truck...the one that's featured on that Classic Trucks cover:

Now that is a great article. Just added that to my to do list for the 69. Thanks again Keith and I save it to my favorites for future reference.

so what stage would you recommend for are trucks? i have a 72....and the brakes do you think i would be able to keep the 5x5.5 or hafta go to mustang bolt pattern.....if i hafta swap can i just change the rearend also to the mustang bolt pattern by just swapping new axles into my rearend? thanks...oh yea on page 4 for our trucks it says $469 for 6779 ford pu....that cant be right....then on page it says stage II is only $1795...the 1795 sounds like the whole kit...so what is the $469?

I think it converts it to the 5 on 4.5 pattern. The rear wouldn't be hard to change. Either buy new axles with the new pattern or have your old axles drilled with the new pattern. I'm sure teh 1795 is for the complete front end. THe rear kit might be the 469 kit. As far as a stage here it goes. http://www.fatmanfab.com/07page5.htm

Just got off the phone with Fat Mans and the Stage 3 kit with Adj coils, and power rack is 2365 and the rear 4 link is 1195 with QA1 coils. Man that would be a nice riding suspension. If I do that then my front disc brakes I would have to sell. I am really thinking on this now. Man it would be nice.

Whoops...just noticed that the link I gave you was for the 4-link rear setup, not the MII front suspension.

I'm giving some strong thought into installing a Galaxie front end on mine. Gonna do some research first, take some measurements, etc....and see what happens.

My truck rides smoother than stock and smoother than when it was lowered on the stock frame with the MII and 4 link. I think it's only going to get better once I dynamat the cab and install the carpet. You can setup your ride with a smooth ride and run a swaybar for a good handling truck.

I would also look into the Dakota front end. It uses stock dakota parts and is built for truck use. They make the for 60's Fords (one for 61-64 and 1 for 65-66) so it should work on 67-79 trucks as well.

check them out <Thread on Slick60's>...Steve and the crew will fix you up right. A few of the guys are members on Slick60's...(ELpolacko and Garbz)

Not saying the MII is bad, just offering another option.
