3 speed to c-4

hey fellaz..
just wondering how much work is involved in doing an c4 swap..

the truck is a 72 f100 with standard 3 speed and i want to put a c-4..

not that much. it about like taking on out and putting one in. the driveshaft might be your only worry. but then again it might be the right length and i almost forgot you will need some way to shift it. so you'll probably want a auto column.

as far as the shifter...i was thinking about leaving it on the floor...

for right now i just want to get it going because the tranny that it has is not all that well...

i have a buddy that is going to give me a b&m shifter already...and i have a c6 but im thinking its too much tranny for the 302...so i will probably get a c4..

is there any cables or brakets that i will need for the swap...

i think the three speed crossmemeber is the same as a c4 and a c6 i know it is for a c6 and 3 spd. yea you will probably ned the correct speedo cable for the trans you put in. the 3 spd cable is probably to short for a auto trans.
