Hey whats up? I'm here in Norman. I am currently rebuilding a 1971 F-250 highboy, white. I hope your project comes along well. If you need any help, let me know. It's always good to see another Okie on here.
The truth shall set you free.

That a/c is called a 270 a/c. Roll 2 windows down and drive 70 for cooling.
333 is tatooed on my head. I'm only half evil.

re: Hello from Ok!
Thanks everyone for the welcome. Always good to see people offering help on a common subject.
After joining I've been reading a few things here and there & have done some research on my truck to verify a few things.
I previously mentioned i have the under bed dual saddle tanks, mounted outside the frame rails. These tanks are IDENTICAL to the ones pictured here: http://www.fordification.com/images/FAQ ... _small.jpg
The gas tank write up, http://www.fordification.com/fuel-tank01.htm , says this:
"Here's another example of some dealer-installed auxiliary tanks, also commonly know as 'saddle tanks'. These plastic tanks have no visible filler on the outside of the truck because each tank's filler neck is located inside the rear wheelwell. (I'm not sure if these are equipped with sending units....I'll check into it.)"
To my knowledge as ive never put gas in the tanks, there is no sending unit on these. I have no way of switching tanks for the gauge other than my 3 way valve on the floor.
I plan on keeping triple tanks, and securing a way to have sending units available. I've even thought up a way to make a Factory Tank switch using a known part for 2 tanks & just adding a second switch to the mix.
At anyrate, the site is paying off already. Hope my truck can help others out. Remember, it is Unmodified from the day it came home from the dealer. and is only dealing with surface rust. I can look things over to answer questions that might be had if someone has a hacked up truck.
