re: Clutch size
Take a look at the pivot. It's just riveted on. They work loose sometimes
and cause problems.

tight as can be. How loose is the shift fork suppose to be? Maybe I need to tighten up the linkage.

Well, the fork should have a little freeplay so the throwout bering don't
ride on the pressure plate. I was talking about the pivot inside the bell
the fork sits on. They come loose sometimes and cause trouble. If it's
not loose your ok. Set the 'freeplay' so the pedal goes down an inch or
so before the bering hits the fingers on the pressure plate.

re: Clutch size
When I place the fork on the pivot and attach the spring through the two holes in the fork and under the "hook" on the pivot I can just wiggle it a bit and the spring just comes off the "hook" on the pivot. There seems like there is no tension there. Maybe it will tighten when everything is back together? I'll mock it all up before it goes in. maybe get some pics up as well.
