Bellhousing for np435 to 351w

Post by 55vicky »

Hi folks, long time reader first time writer. I have a 1970 Sport Custom
that I want to change to a 4 speed. I have an np435 and need a bellhousing. At the local pick-a-part there is one of those bread trucks but the tranny is already gone. The bell is just sitting there hooked up to a straight six. My truck has a 351. The bread truck is a 1964. Will that bell work with my 351 and the np435? My truck is currently auto.
Thanks in advance

If the six is either a 240 or a 300 it should bolt right up to the 351. They have the same bolt pattern

Thanks, guys, I just wish I could have gotten there sooner and got the tranny too. It was probably one of those T19s. Back tomorrow to get the bellhousing!
