Can I jump in? My father-inlaw and I went to get pads for his '56 F100 with a heidts MII IFS. He wasn't sure what year to ask for. It would be easier to just know what to ask for. The guy at Napa was asking, "6 or 8 cylinder, Auto or standard..." What is the answer? Exactly what pads are used?

well its kindof custom. i took the granda rotor and turned them off on the lathe. then i bought some 13" rotors for a cobra mustang that slide over. have to rework the caliper bracket but not that hard to make.

so you used the granada rotor for the hub and the cobra rotor slid right over it meaning that the bolt pattern is the same on both?
Do you have pics of what you did with the caliper mounts.
Man I love this website.

I believe you can pick out any pad for your MII as long as you know which calipers are on your kit. Autozone and those parts store always ask those questions.

On the No Limit Engineering kit you must consider spindle hub design if it is designed for larger rotor it is a stronger design comparatively. I realize the A-arms are probably the same as an MII kit but spindles are an important component.

yea they are the same bolt pattern. i don't have the front brackets made yet. anyway you would have to find out which calipers you want to use. i would prob get stock cobra one if i where you. i have wilwood 6 piston ingtera 6r and ther alittle pricey. there also radial mount. i also had to make mine 2 piece to clear my rims. my rims are prett flat inside and the calipers are huge. i had to run a 3 inch hat to clear everything. it works pretty slick. i would just take you bracket thats spaces out the caliper to the granada and modify it.

Ok, let me see if I have this correct. I can get the MII front suspension for my '68 from Fatman's for $469.00 and then add $170 for the power option and extended mainshafts. What else is needed to complete this kit? Oh yeah, sorry to hijack the thread.

well the crossmember should come with the extenders. the the rest you can get at a junk yard. i would get tubular lowers so you don't have to use the strut rods.

Yeah customcrewcab is right! you can go with junkyard upper control arms, rack and just buy some tubular lower arms cause you will need to
do some grinding on the stock lower arms to make them fit.

trying to tell keith to go this way. figure the cost would be that much differnt after trying tio get a 460 and headers to fit in a chevy frame. plus he would be alot happier with it in the long run.
