Finally, will the 73' coils and spring cups go onto the 68' radius arhms/beams? What kind of modification is invloved in making them fit, if they won't go on directly?

I think if you are going to use the 73 coils you need to use the 73 radius arms. The lower spring mounts are different.

I agree, it would be easier if you're going to install disc brakes to just install the entire front suspension from the donor truck. As mentioned, the lower spring pad is different. I didn't notice this until after I'd already had my springs powdercoated, so I decided to make them work. I just had to grind part of the lip off the early spring cup to get it to sit down on top of the later radius arms, and then install a couple thick washers under it, between the cup and the radius arm.
