Brake to floor

Post by cghstrojan08 »

I have recently installed a remanufactured or whatever they are master cylinder from Advance Auto on my 1969 f100 with no power brakes. I did this about a month ago or less. Today I fist noticed that the peddle went to the floor. It doesn't do it all of the time. It seems to do it when I am going slow. I am thinking it is the master cylinder. I have also replaced the wheel cylinders in the front. The reason we replaced this stuff in the first place was because the brakes were pulling to the right but got that fixed. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks!

Happened to me too! I installed one and after a month if I applied the brakes slowly the pedal would head to the floor. I think I got to claim warrantee--but it's still a PIA. Like previously said, check the wheel cylinders as well to make sure.
