streering knuckle frame support

Post by junkman johnnie »

I have a 1977 F250 frame with my 70 F100 body on it. But to make the bed line up with the body line I have to put a 3" body lift on it. I just got a 1979 F250 4x4 frame with the streering knuckle in front of the wheel. Can I take the knuckle and the frame plate and put them on the 77??? I can weld a plate on the 77 frame and then drill the holes for the 1979 streering knuckle. CAN I MAKEIT WORK????

Or if anyone could tell me how hard is it to move my streering knuckle up to the front for the body lift.

Yes, the thing that bolts to the frame from the streering colum. The one on the frame has three bolts. It bolts behind the wheel. The other one I have, from the 1979 F250 4x4, has four bolts and bolts in front of the wheel.
