...make sure you don't forget the corner ones before you start yanking on it.

The ones over the radio are a little harder to get your hands to but it can be done. You don't need to remove it. You will probably need to pull the defrost ducts down. When you do be careful! Mine were old and brittle and I ripped it. It didn't take much at all to put my fingers right through it.

Here is one finished door panel. It came out way better than I thought it would! It looks like a factory black door panel. You would never know it was painted.I just hope the paint holds up.

I saw some of the defrost grilles that had been chrome plated or they were stainless. Hope to find me a set.

Looks good! I love the no pad look (yanked mine out a year or so ago when I couldnt stand the chasm like crack in it anymore). The grills and door panel look awesome!

So little idiots stole my sons mini bike, and painted it a poorly done flat black. I recovered it last week, and stripped it, and since the fenders and side panel are plastic decided to try the Krylon Fusion paint made for plastics. Worked great, bonds right to the plastic, and hold on better than I ever expected.
I bought a plastic cap for over my dash pad, and it looks OK, but I would have liked to found a new one.
When I finally get around to painting my interior, I may try the no pad look.
