302,fmx kickdown linkage
First off this is a great website to use to help get a 67-70 on the road.Well my 70 almost got on the road this weekend. It turns out there is no kickdown linkage hooked up or even there. It is a 302 with a fmx transmission and a 1650 Holly carb. What are my options for hooking this up ,cable or solid linkage? I could really use some help as the old lady is on my back wanting to know when we can take it out. Thanx in advance. [/b]

When I changed mine from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel and I took the linkage off and bought the ball and sockets and found the ends to screw threaded rod into it. It works better than the linkage did.

my 302/FMX was a solid rod, tied to the carb linkage and the trans. linkage.
I might be able to find a pic sometime tonight for ya.

In life many men take the path of righteousness, some take the path many others follow (G.M. owners, for example), some take a more arduous path, some a simpler path. I, sir, took the PSYCO-PATH!!
