Does anyone have info on the following axle tag: I had this tag in my shop and I don't remember which rear I took it off of. It must be either a 8.8 or a 9" rear.

Bottom Line: 3 08.N75S279D

The WGX-R code is for a '79-'86 Mustang. It's a 7.5" open rearend with 3.08 gears, and was probably behind a 4-banger or a V6.

OK thanks. Now I remember from whence it came. I took a rear out of a 4 banger and replaced it with a 8.8 about a year ago. Now I can throw the tag away.
